Designing a wedding for a close friend is always a treat so when my beautiful friends Claire and Pat asked me to design the flowers for their special day I was beyond excited. Growing up in Armidale NSW, Claire was a proud country girl but when it came to her wedding Claire knew she wanted to inject elegance and timeless style while staying true to the beautiful country charm of the surroundings.
Claire and Pat chose a sit down reception under a marquee on the stunning grounds of Peterson’s Winery, choosing to design feminine yet rustic garland inspired centrepieces. Peonies were a favourite along with stunning cottage style roses in antique and blush tones, as well as native foliages and textures. Vintage blue and white crockery adorned the tables along side hand-poured candles.
